Just got back from a trip on 270 down to Roberts Road. Some slush. Road busy but moving well.
Surface streets in Dublin are far worse. We are still meeting at 5:30 for those who can make it then. If conditions near you are unsafe for travel, call me (301-5064). We won’t leave without you.
Parents, please come in when you drop off your student. We will decide together what to do.

Dublin Roads Ify - use your judgement
Confirmation Retreat Update
The retreat is still on! The only question is, “Where will we have it?”
Road conditions in Franklin County aren’t good. However, as of a few minutes ago, no snow emergency has been declared. The Highway Patrol post in Circleville reports light snow and clear roads. The Hocking County Sheriff reports wet roads and light rain.
If it is safe to go, we will. If it is not we will still have the retreat but will have it locally. We are still two and a half hours from our scheduled departure. A lot can happen in that amount of time. We will make a decision near the time we need to leave.
In any case, so long as it is safe for you to get here, please come to the church ready for a great weekend of fun and adventure!

Confirmation Retreat - Winter Weather Watch
Like you I’ve been watching the weather reports and am aware of the impending winter weather “event”.
Please know:
- Safety is our highest value. If it is not safe to travel we won’t travel.
- No matter the weather, we WILL have the retreat. We have some options on how we might to it in town in we are forced to do that.
- The decision about what we do may not be made until shortly before departure time. Before we would leave, it would be my intention to be in contact with the camp and local authorities to understand road conditions both on the way to and at the camp.
- If we decide to go and you are not comfortable with the decision, please speak with me and we will make arrangements for your child.
The current forecast at the camp is for freezing rain early on Friday morning followed by 3-6 inches of snow through Friday night.
Please be patient as tomorrow progresses. Watch your email and the student ministry website (www.indianrunstudents.org) for updates. In any case, so long as you can get here safely, be at the church ready for a retreat at 5:30 PM.
