I won the lottery...

I’ve never won the lottery. I admit that I’ve put my dollar down maybe a few times in my life and dreamed of what it would be like to win a $100 million jackpot. I’ve never won. Or should I say, I’ve never won that lottery. Do you realize that we live in the richest country on earth? Even the most poor of our citizens are rich compared to most of the world. On top of that, we live in one of the richest communities in that richest country. The median household income in the United States is about $40,000. In the zip codes that make up Dublin, our median household income is more than two and half times that! I guess in some ways, we’ve all won a lottery just by living here.

This week at FX, in addition to our regular programming we’re going to talk about this year’s 30 Hour Famine (2/22-23 – are you coming?). It is an opportunity for us to sacrifice just a little in order to help those in most need. Last year we had about thirty students raise about $4400. Can you help us get to fifty students? $5000?

Let your parents know that we need their help too (details in the parents email).
