One definition of “anxious” is nervousness and excitement. I tell you what. Today I’m feeling pretty anxious because in the next forty-eight hours, Amy’s and my first son will be born. That is exciting! I think of all the things we’ll do together. I can’t wait to teach him really important stuff (like the words to the Ohio State fight song). I can’t wait to share with him what God has done for me and what God offers him. But having a baby also makes me nervous. What kind of a parent will I be? I don’t want to mess him up! How will our life together be different? Are Amy and I ready? Probably not but I bet we do ok. We’ve a lot of people to help out and pray for us (that’s you!).
I’m going to spend the next couple of weeks taking care of Amy and the baby. Most of the Student Ministry events will continue on as normal… only better! FX is back this Sunday with cool topics (“The Internet” for 7th and 8th graders, and “Change” for the High School.) Don’t miss an awesome opportunity to grow closer to God while having a good time with your friends!
