I know most of you don’t have school today. Do you know why? No, it’s not because your teachers need an extra day to grade all the tests you’ve been taking this week. It’s because today is Good Friday, one of the most holy days of the Christian Year. I invite you to come to worship tonight or to read through the passion story (John 19). The joy and truth of Easter mean so much more when we remember the sacrifice and sorrow of Jesus’ death on the cross.
