Did You Know the United Methodist Church in Russia is Under Attack?: As hard as it is to believe… there are many places in this world where it’s not “ok” to worship as you want. In Russia, a United Methodist Church has been shutdown after the state church complained that the United Methodists were teaching children in a Sunday School. Players Needed for the Church Men’s Softball Team: Online registration is now available for any man 16 and older who wants to play softball this year. Remember, when joining the Indian Run Softball Ministry, we do so do to fulfill one of God's purposes for our lives, and that is to share fellowship with our family-in-Christ. This is often a great way to meet new members and learn more about what is going on in the church. While we value your presence and participation at every game, Summer is also a time for family vacations, and we expect to have several people unavailable each week. That is one reason we encourage many players to register. I invite you to join us for this 2008 season by registering by April 25. Registering online will allow us to keep team information current, and that will become the main contact list for the team, so if you do not register, you will not get any more emails this year about softball. Upcoming Missions

Play a Video Game – Fight Miliaria: World Malaria Day is April 25. Now and throughout April, there’s an easy new way to help eliminate malaria deaths in Africa and raise more money for nets through the Nothing But Nets malaria prevention campaign. Malaria is a serious and often fatal disease transmitted by mosquitoes. The World Health Organization estimates that 300-500 million cases of malaria occur each year.

Nothing But Nets has just launched a new online interactive game called “Deliver the Net” that makes it possible to send a net and save a life right from your keyboard. The game teaches users about bed net distribution and challenges individuals to deliver as many virtual nets as possible before the sun goes down and malaria-carrying mosquitoes come out to bite. From now until the end of the month, each time someone plays the game and signs up at www.NothingButNets.net, generous sponsors will donate $10 for a lifesaving insecticide-treated net.
