I Was Thinking

As you all know, this was the last day of work for Stephanie Stoppenhagen, our director of student ministries. As you recall, her husband Brad got a new job in Cincinnati back September. Several weeks ago, she let us know that she and the kids would be moving there over the Christmas school break to be with him. Stephanie will be greatly missed because we love her and because she did a great job. While we are in the process of selecting our next Director of Student ministries, we aren’t yet ready to make an announcement. In the meantime, Pastor Brian and the awesome team of adult and student leaders will fill in the gaps until the position is filled. Today, Stephanie left this note for you all:

Hello Everyone!

Did you all notice how I started my “good-bye” with a “hello”? That is because I am really, really, really bad at saying good-bye! In fact, I think I am going to make this an “until we meet again” note instead. I wanted to thank you all for the wonderful gifts (I'm wearing my necklace right now) and all of the well wishes. I feel so blessed to have been given the opportunity to share my journey towards Christ with all of you. Each of you, in your own unique way, have given me something special to take away with me. I leave knowing that God has a plan for us all and we never know where it will take us, but the end is always good. You just have to keep going until you get to the end. I also leave knowing that you have a strong leadership team, both adult and student leaders, who will continue to nurture and support each of you on your own journeys toward Christ. I will miss you all and hope to hear from you often so I can keep up.
