NEXT WEEK FX GOES TO THE SUPER BOWL! Actually we'll be going to the Buchan's home (7575 Bellaire Ave) to watch the Super Bowl, play games, snack & hang out with friends. We can't actually give you a ticket to the game but we will give you a raffle ticket to bring back to FX the next week for some awesome prizes (Chipotle gift cards anyone?). Bring a guest and get 2 tickets...everyone is welcome. Middle School guys bring your favorite chips...middle school girls bring some veggies...high school guys bring salsa or dip... high school girls bring something sweet. Guests don't have to bring anything at all and the Buchan's are furnishing all of the drinks for us. Plan to leave at half time and catch the end of the game at home. Arrive after 6:00 PM so we can catch the pre-game commercials! Don't miss the first big party of the year!

KAREN NUCE NAMED TO BE DIRECTOR OF STUDENT MINISTRIES: Karen Nuce, a long time member of our congregation and consistent leader of a variety of ministries, has been hired to replace Stephanie Stoppenhagen as the Director of Student Ministries. Karen, who has been serving as the Point Person for the FX High School and 10th Grade Girls Small Group Leader, will work with Pastor Brian to lead ministry to students in grades seven through twelve.
Please congratulate Karen and thank her husband Mark and their children Jarrod (12) and Mallory (10) for sharing Karen with us.
Karen is excited for her new role in the Student Ministry and is eager to build on the relationships she has already begun with the students and adult volunteers. “God is doing great things in the Student Ministry. It is a tremendous privilege to work with these great young people and the adults who minister with them.” If you love Christ, like students, and are interested in how you might use your God-given gifts in service to students, please contact Karen at knuce@indian-run.org.
DARLA HINER JOINS 8TH GRADE GIRLS SMALL GROUP MINISTRY: It is with great excitement that the Student Ministry welcomes Darla Hiner to the Student Ministry Team. Darla, who runs half marathons (for fun!) and love Whoopie Pies from Maine, is looking forward to connecting with our awesome eighth grade girls. Darla has a great spirit and a contagious faith. When you see Darla, please welcome her. Also, be sure to thank her husband, Grant, and their son, Ian, for sharing Darla with us!
There was a great turnout last week. If you missed the kick-off, join everyone this Wednesday at 6:30 PM in the Youth Room at Indian Run. <-- this is the correct information, the student email info is wrong.

THE LEADERSHIP TEAM FOR THE 30 HOUR FAMINE IS NOW FORMING: If you are passionate about fighting hunger and you are willing to serve Christ by helping lead (planning, advertising, sign-ups, etc.) this awesome ministry, please contact Becky Cunningham. There is a LOT of work to be done if we are going to top last years awesome weekend. Come let God use you to make a difference in the world.
In addition to our student leaders, we will need a number of adults to help on this weekend. We expect as many as 75 students this year! First, we need a few men and a few women who are able to stay overnight. If you need to come late or leave early, that’s ok but we’d love to have you for the full weekend! Do know this isn’t a giant slumber party. The students will sleep. In addition to the overnight volunteers, we need a number of parents to drive teams from the church to a local grocery store, wait with them while they shop, and return them to the church on Saturday morning. If you or someone you know can help with this important ministry, please contact Becky Cunningham.
