One of the neatest things about life these days is how many ways you can be busy doing something. When I was growing up the only way we could “multi-task” is by watching tv while “doing” my homework. Now-a-days we have television, computers, instant messaging, cell phones, text messaging, and mental telepathy. Add to that all of the activities students are busy with (school, sports, friends, more sports, community service, more friends, church, family, theatre, band, more friends).
With as much as you are accomplishing with all of these things going on, ever wonder what you could accomplish if you could focus even a good portion of your energy on just one important thing? I bet it would be amazing. This Sunday I’ll be preaching again in our “balance” series. The topic will be “Sharpening the Focus”. Even if you think you can easily txt someone while playing a basketball game and flirting with that cute person from your math class… I invite you to come, worship, and see if there isn’t something you can apply to your life.
