FX 7/8 - This Sunday: FX Focus on Service: Sunday, November 9^th, 5:6:30 (regular time) we will be focusing on others. The plan is to work on Operation Christmas Child boxes. Please bring items to help fill these boxes. Think of items that you might like and we will work on filing a box for a boy and a girl age 10-14. Item suggestions include: school supplies (pens, pencils w/ sharpeners, markers, paper, solar calculators), towys, hygiene items (tooth brush, tooth paste, mild bar soap place in a plastic bag, comb, washcloth), other (hard candy and lollipops double bagged, mints, gum, t-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hairclips, toy jewelry, watches, flashlights with extra batteries). Also, it costs $7.00 to mail each box so if everyone could chip in $1.00 we should be set. We also are going to finish up two blankets for Project Linus (can you bring sharp scissors?).

Student Minsitry High School open Hours – Thursday afterschool until 4:30. Rides available from Coffman HS: Come and bring your friends to Open Hours in the youth room. This Thursday after school until 4:30. Play the Wii. Challenge the reigning world indoor Corn Hole champion! Hang out! Do homework (as if)! We have cheap food (yummy hot pocket anyone?)! Get here on your own, walk here from Jerome or catch the church van from Coffman. (Coffman Van Riders: Meet the van in the teacher parking lot after school. We will leave when the busses leave so don’t be late. You must have a completed permission slip (download it here). YES! Friends can come too. If you know you are coming and want a ride, please RSVP. If your late, I will leave you… just ask Logan.)

July in Christmas – High School ONly Retreat: You have heard of Christmas in July, but have you ever heard of July in Christmas? All 9th-12th graders and their friends are invited to come on a High School only retreat to Lakeside. Lakeside is an entire Methodist community in northern Ohio off of Lake Erie and they are opening up the place for us! Have you ever wanted to participate in a Polar Bear Plunge? How about miniature golf outside in December? What about a weekend with your friends thinking about God surrounded by an entire community which supports you? If you are thirsty to get to know the peace God brings, if you are thirsty for some awesome fellowship, “Come to the water!” Download a sign-up sheet with times and details here. FX Meal Schedule: An important part of our ministry to students is the dinners we serve at FX on Sunday nights. Please find this year’s schedule for FX Dinners here. If you are not yet on the list and would be willing to work with another family to provide a dinner, please contact Cathy Miles. There are several open dates in the spring, March 8 – May 31. Thanks in advance for your willingness to serve in this awesome way!

Upcoming Missions

ASP STOCKHOLDER MEETING This SUNDAY NOVEMBER 9TH: There will be a stockholder's meeting on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 9 from 12:15 to 1 pm for anyone interested in seeing and hearing about this past summer's Youth Missions Trip to the Appalachians. Come to learn about all of God's Works accomplished and our awesome students' experiences gained from your financial and prayerful support of this Ministry. There will be a video to watch, as well as a snack provided. Missionaries: Remember to bring a snack to share (no chips please.)
