Can you balance an axe on your chin?

Are you good at balance? I’m not. I guess I can balance my checkbook but other than that, I’m a lot better at falling over. I can’t stand on my head. I can’t walk a tightrope. And, I can’t do a cartwheel. Except for an occasional bruise, I’m no worse off for not having much physical balance.

Another kind of balance is a lot more important. Call it “life balance”. Finding the spot where you’re neither too busy nor too bored. Neither working out too much nor working out too little. Neither rooting all the time for the Buckeyes nor… wait, that’s ok. Most of us feel out of balance at times in our life and God has some pretty good stuff to say about how to achieve balance. This month in the Sunday morning worship, we’re talking all about balance. This Sunday and next I’ll be preaching and we’ll see from some students what real balance is.

If you ever feel out of balance I invite you to worship with us at 9:30 AM (Traditional) or 11:00 AM (Contemporary). Don’t forget brunch in between!
