Y’all amaze me. If the church had a dollar for every time one of you is mentioned in a newspaper, called out over a PA system, bragged on by a teacher, affirmed by a parent, or valued (even quietly) by a friend, we wouldn’t be needing to do a fund raising campaign before we build the Family Life Center. In these mostly obvious ways, I am constantly reminded of how special each of you is. And, every time I get to be with you I am reminded that God, the creator of every good and perfect thing, also created you. In doing so, God gave you gifts and talents – as evidenced by some of the great stuff you do. As children of God our challenge (yours and mine) is to respond to all God has given to us by using those gifts in mission and ministry.
If you are reading this and you are scratching your head wondering just what I am talking about, if you look at yourself and can’t see that you are wonderfully made and that you have some pretty awesome God-given gifts, reply back to this email or talk to your small group leader.
